A run is a long, narrow enclosure that gives cats distance to cover. A tunnel is how they get from one place to another. Put them together and a single catio becomes a network: house to deck, deck to yard, yard to a lookout on the fence.
They're also the easiest way to add to a catio you already have, whether we built it or someone else did.

Can a tunnel connect to a catio I already have?
Yes, whether we built it or not. Adding a tunnel or run is one of the easiest ways to give cats more room without starting over.
Will a tunnel fill up with snow?
A run along the ground can drift in over the winter. We roof the stretches that need it, and many owners simply close off the far end until spring.
How long can a run be?
As long as your yard and budget allow. For the longer adventures, we’ll add rest stops, perches, and lookout spots along the way, so your cat has plenty of places to stop, lounge, survey their kingdom, and judge the neighbours.
Can a run go along a shared fence?
Only on your side, and only with your neighbour's okay. A shared fence is worth talking over with them before build day, and we're happy to show them the plan.
